Like home ownership stabilizes families, small business owning their own business location through loan packaging of federal (SBA)state and local sources to reduce interest rates and improve terms can accomplish small business stability by strengthening the borrower. Tax reform by offering property tax relief (currently only given to big business) and federal tax relief (capital gains and income tax to certain amounts) would be strong incentive for small business creation. Small business is the backbone of the Middle Class. The Wright brothers created the airplane in their small business bicycle shop! Shop condos in failing Malls and commercial buildings around town could then be purchased by small businesses and the community would prosper again. Many of our areas economic problems could be solved by small business creativity.
