Amy Schrimpf brings more than 20 years of state and local government advocacy experience to the Dayton Development Coalition, having previously worked for the Montgomery County Transportation Improvement District, the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Ohio Chamber of Commerce.
She began her government career as a college student, working for former State Senator Robert Cupp, who later became an Ohio Supreme Court Justice and currently serves as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives.
At the local level, she is a former member of Kettering City Council serving from 2008 to 2017. She also held a term as Vice Mayor from 2012-2013. She is well-known to other local and state elected officials throughout the region due to her service on various local government committees and her involvement with a number of regional economic development and charitable organizations.
Amy is a graduate of the Leadership Dayton program and was named a “Forty Under 40” recipient in 2009 by the Dayton Business Journal. A graduate of the Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science, Amy is a lifetime member of the OSU Alumni Association. She is also a member of Kettering Rotary Club and serves on the Holiday at Home Board of Trustees.
