Community Details
The Wright Image Group is currently working with community organizations like the Dayton Foundation, the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Park, Dayton History, the National Aviation Heritage Area (NAHA), Sinclair, etc., to redefine the project and better reflect community desires. We expect that our two principal objectives – honoring and memorializing humanity’s achievement of flight and providing a link for the public at large to all the aviation heritage sites in the area – will be achievable with a new concept that has strong community input and support. This new concept should be available in the first quarter of CY 2022. We continue to believe that the monument will become the icon by which Dayton and Ohio will be identified in the future, an icon that will highlight our aviation heritage, our history of innovation, and our leadership in aviation and aerospace technology.
