Wolf Creek Trunks Sanitary Liners Installation
This project consists of approximately 3,000 LF of 36” and 3,000 LF of 54” sanitary liners on the two primary trunk sewers for the Wolf Creek Sanitary Sewer Basin. On each separate sewer span (manhole to manhole), the work includes the furnishing of all labor, tools, equipment, and materials, and performing all operations in connection with the lining of the existing 36” and 54” diameter sanitary sewers with a continuously extruded jointless and seamless pipe liner.

Ohio HB 168. We submitted this project for consideration under the State’s HB168 program. The Wolf Creek Trunks Sanitary Liners Installation was included on the County Engineer’s priority list (#2). However, none of our submitted projects were selected for the first round of funding.
Community Details
These sewers route flow from northwest regions of the City of Dayton and Montgomery County, which includes Trotwood and the Fort McKinley Area, to Dayton’s Water Reclamation Facility. Useful life can be increased and high inflow and infiltration can be reduced in this region of the City’s sanitary collection system through the installation of liners. These liners can also increase capacity of the existing sewers potentially mitigating sewage back-up risks.

In addition, the Wolf Creek Levee Enhancement Project is in the planning stages and is part of the Wolf Creek Corridor Land Use Strategy Sustainability Plan adopted by the City of Dayton. The Wolf Creek Levee sanitary sewer replacement project is part of the Levee Enhancement Project and will drive economic development downtown, provide necessary updates to the City's sewer system making our community safer and enhancing the living experience for disadvantaged populations of residents living in the City's inner ring.
The goal of this project is to reduce the inflow and infiltration of ground and surface water into our sanitary sewer collection system which largely occurs during wet weather events. The success of the project will be clear by the amount of flow incoming to our wastewater reclamation facility. Sanitary sewer lining is a proven technology and other sanitary sewer lining projects undertaken by the City of Dayton's Department of Water have accomplished this goal.
