Currently, Clark County has two main 911 dispatch centers, Clark County and the City of Springfield, that provide dispatching services to the majority of the county. Both centers are outdated with aging equipment. This project will consolidate the two existing centers into a County-wide 911 Dispatch Center. Through this consolidation, the County will be able to update equipment, eliminate duplicate services, increase response time, and implement major Next Gen 911 upgrades. In addition, the Center will improve interoperability among the numerous emergency response agencies and standardize protocols. Public Safety will improve as the County can better focus emergency response efforts and resources now and in the future.
