The mission of the Miami Valley Research Foundation centers around the recruitment of companies in the technology and research fields to our region. The efforts of the Foundation in recent years have been very successful with several large employers electing to locate to our region, and more specifically to land within the Research Park. In order to maintain this momentum it is necessary to extend infrastructure in order to make more Miami Valley Research Foundation land attractive for development. The proposed project would extend sanitary sewer and construct roadway improvements upon the Foundation property located north of Research Boulevard and west of I-675. These infrastructure improvements would make this 53 acre parcel shovel ready for development, and due to the size of the property, could support several significant projects.
The success of this project would be measured on the amount of the 53 acre tract is developed and the number of new high quality jobs that are created. The construction of this infrastructure will serve to remove a barrier to the development of this land and will encourage new investment.

In the short term, jobs will be created through the design and construction of these infrastructure improvements. In the long term, the potential for high paying job growth in the Research Park is believed to be huge. There are many acres of land available for development located in close proximity to existing high technology and research centers such as WPAFB, Wright State University, and the University of Dayton.
