Expanding Fiber Optic Services in Clark County
Through a partnership between Clark County, the Miami Valley Educational Computer Association (MVECA), and other public entities, this project will create the necessary infrastructure to expand fiber-optic capabilities throughout the County. Additionally, this project will connect most County departments under one network, increasing reliability, and ensuring public safety.

This project would provide unmatched reliability for the County's network system. By connecting most of the County buildings to the same fiber-optic network, data sharing, and overall consistency of network operations would be enhanced considerably. This project would also bolster public safety operations throughout the County, as several of the sites included in this project are critical infrastructure operations centers.
Additionally, this project could allow for better connectivity between private businesses, if funding is received. Additional strands of fiber will be run to allow for connectivity from other entities (public and private). This will create the infrastructure that modern businesses need to meet their demands.
This project will be evaluated in outputs, such as the amount of fiber laid, overall cost-savings, the reduction of network inconsistencies, and the increase in speed and reliability of the overall network.
Additionally, the outcomes will be measured in the attraction of potential end-users, increased efficiency county-wide, and enhanced the reliability of public safety operations.
