(Or, budget document can be uploaded, see question 37) The City of Fairborn has already acquired two of the three properties (3746 and 3800 SR 444) at a cost of $100,000. We will proceed with the demolition of those two properties in Q1 of 2021. The last remaining property (3660 SR 444) still needs to be acquired and demolished and the park constructed.

Community Details

40. Community Need Removing the blight at the main entrance to AFMC headquarters will benefit the region. As we prepare for the possibility of future BRAC processes, we want to put our best foot forward to those who may visit the base. This project falls in line with the Compatibility Use Plan that is being developed for properties outside the fence of the base property.

41. Previous Funding: Has the requesting organization received Congressionally earmarked funding in the past? If so, please provide a brief project description, year funded, amount, and Congressional sponsor. Removing the existing buildings will improve the appearance of the entrance dramatically. The project will be a success if we do nothing more than remove the existing structures. Creating a landscaped park will provide the proper doorstep to WPAFB the community deserves.
