GROWING ACRES INDUSTRIAL PARK NEWEST SITEOHIO AUTHENTICATION

DAYTON—Celina’s Growing Acres Industrial Park has received JobsOhio’s SiteOhio authentication, ensuring the site is free of any detriments that may slow or stop development. The designation makes it among Ohio’s top sites for commercial development.

“The Celina Region is well positioned for continued growth as our workforce, access to markets, and ease of doing business make it an ideal location for development,” said Jared Ebbing, Mercer County’s Economic Development Director.  “Don’t just take our word for it, Site Selection Magazine has consistently ranked Celina-Mercer County as among the Top 50 Micropolitans in the U.S. for business expansions over the past decade”.

Growing Acres Industrial Park, located along State Route 29, is comprised of three separate parcels of 34.5 acres (Site A), 24 acres (Site B), and 116 acres (Site C). The sites have short line rail access lining the southern boundary and access to all utilities, and are served by Midwest Electric, Dominion East Gas Company, and City of Celina water and sewer. The sites are privately owned by Growing Acres LLC, an entity established by the landowner to ease future transactions.

“We appreciate the close collaboration with our partners at the Dayton Development Coalition, Mercer County and others to bring authentication to the Growing Acres Industrial Park,” said JobsOhio president and CEO J.P. Nauseef. “The highway and rail access, utilities and the talented workforce in Mercer County make Growing Acres attractive to manufacturers and other businesses looking to invest and succeed quickly.”

SiteOhio is a one-of-a-kind site evaluation program offered by JobsOhio. The program goes beyond the common certified site process and puts properties with industrial zoning through a more stringent and comprehensive review and analysis. SiteOhio authentication guarantees that all utilities are on the property and have adequate capacity, that due diligence studies have been completed, and that all state and federal entities have provided concurrence with the studies.

“Growing Acres Industrial Park offers businesses easy access to Interstate 75 at sites primed for our region’s major industries,” said Julie Sullivan, the Dayton Development Coalition’s executive vice president for regional development. “Celina, one of our northern powerhouses, has an extensive industrial ecosystem for companies and talented, dedicated workforce perfect for a growing business.”
