Quality of Life
Levitt Pavilion Dayton
Funds would be used to enhance the Levitt Pavilion Dayton's overall accessibility for the audiences that are engaging with this community amenity. Through the project there were items that were not included in the scope so that we could launch our inaugural season, of which we did with great success. We are looking to augment the space so that we continue to attract audiences from our community.

With the inaugural season of 33 concerts in 59 days, we hosted audiences totaling close to 26,000, of divers socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds. The Levitt Pavilion Dayton brought Daytonians together through the power of free music, and by creating accessibility to all we were able to find that we are more alike than different. This catalyst for economic development downtown has been an integral part of the reactivation and reanimation of the space that was formally a neglected park. Already we are seeing the activation of vacant store fronts and economic development, as developers see the opportunity of the added foot traffic in our urban core. As we move forward, we see the need for added amenities that could facilitate growth of audience involvement.
Growth in audience numbers, and decline in vacant storefronts surrounding the Levitt Pavilion Dayton will show that the quality of life that it provides will spur further growth. Without Sunday performances in the calculation of averages, the audiences were close to 800 per concert. We hope that making the space more inviting and comfortable for all we will be able to grow the audience participation.

Not sure how to justify this, as stated in previous answer, we see that with the overall improvement of quality of life that would be directly related to the economic development in the "nine" blocks surrounding the Levitt Pavilion Dayton, we believe this will create growth.
