Short description The Wright-Patterson Regional Council of Governments (WPRCOG) has been working with Wright-Patterson AFB and the local communities to look at developments for the military and the community. There is property being look at to add new developments including Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) space. Developments like this are critical to assuring we keep missions at Wright-Patt and ensure future missions and development.

Community Details

40. Community Need This project is critical to the future viability of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. This development will allow them more class A space and SCIF space for their current and future operations. Their facilities are old and the space is not enough for current operations. This development would also allow further growth in the private sector with more class A space for contractors to come to Ohio and grow current Ohio operations. There will also be space for retail and restaurants.

Wright-Patt would also be able to expand inside the building. Commitments in the development have already happened. This will be a monumental project for the area and the base. The 10 year future shows extreme growth in the defense and aerospace industry around the base. New companies will come to Ohio on this property to set up operations to support our national security and grow the region.
