Dayton Area Hypersonic Research Flight Test Team
This is a Dayton Regional Ecosystem for Additive Manufacturing project. The intent of the project is to leverage prior DoD investment in Additive Manufacturing of Advanced Materials
(Carbon Nanotube Metal Matrix Composites) to prototype a scaled version of hypersonic aero body vehicle that will used as a hypersonic technology testbed. The vehicle will be fabricated using Additive Manufacturing techniques and tested in the Dayton Area.

Community Details
The community of need is the Additive Manufacturing ecosystem that exists in the greater Dayton area an includes not only local small businesses but also the Air Force Materials Command. Execution of the program will enable the use of high-performance materials for use in Additive Manufacturing that can address several key Air Force and DoD operational needs and results in capabilities that can be transferred to commercial application that will grow the ecosystem.
