Additive Manufacturing Workforce Development
This is a Dayton Regional Ecosystem for Additive Manufacturing project. The intent of this effort is to establish a statewide university workforce development program in the area of Additive Manufacturing that will support the needs and interests of Additive Manufacturing ecosystem in Dayton as well as the state of Ohio. This program will provide trained engineers and technicians that are experience in Additive Manufacturing and by supporting development efforts in wrought aluminum alloys.

Community Details
The community of need is the Additive Manufacturing ecosystem that exists in the greater Dayton area an includes not only local small businesses but also the Air Force Materials Command. Execution of the program will enable the use of high-performance materials for use in Additive Manufacturing that can address several key Air Force and DoD operational needs and results in capabilities that can be transferred to commercial application that will grow the ecosystem. This program will provide the trained workforce required to grow the ecosystem.
