Brigid's Path Housing Initiative
Brigid's Path introduces a continuum of care through a transformational home. The families we serve struggle with finding safe, affordable, and supportive housing. Our home will accommodate 8 women and their babies, fostering healing and growth. Designed for postnatal moms battling substance use disorder, we will offer stability and safety, embodying Brigid's Path's vision for a nurturing community.

Community Details
The Brigid's Path housing initiative responds to an urgent community need exacerbated by the overwhelming barriers moms face within multiple systems. In our community, these mothers encounter a daunting array of challenges, including a lack of resources, education, and support, particularly in the midst of the drug epidemic.
Women with substance use disorder confront severe obstacles, including a profound absence of safe and affordable housing options, often causing their babies to go into foster care. This project aims to be a vital solution, providing a nurturing environment crucial for the well-being of these mothers and their babies during a pivotal phase in their lives.
The housing initiative is designed to offer more than just shelter; it serves as a support network. It strives to bridge the gap, providing a safe space where women can unite, exchange experiences, and assist each other on their journey toward recovery.
Moreover, this project addresses another significant community need: the essential support for mothers to parent their children and, in doing so, to keep children out of foster care. By offering guidance, education, and resources, it seeks to empower mothers in their parenting journey, reinforcing family bonds and reducing the need for children to enter the foster care system.
By addressing these critical needs and barriers, the housing initiative aims to create a nurturing and stable environment that fosters recovery and encourages growth and empowerment for mothers and their babies during this transformative and vital time.
