40. Community Need Njoy Njoy is located in a very depressed area of West Dayton. The neighborhood has numerous vacant homes or homes in terrible shape. The residents are low income and need services to better their lives. Njoy Njoy has provided free meals and food, clothing/shoes and other social services information to the surrounding neighborhood, for the last ten years. Njoy Njoy is seen as a resource for the residents who seek help with food needs, healthcare information and more. Behind the Njoy Njoy building, is the Dayton Leadership Academy, a school that has partnered with us to provide more needed services and support to neighborhood families. Also, Faith Health Aide Training School has partnered with us and are committed to moving into the new building when completed. This school will train health aide workers and provide them with valuable job skills. This larger facility would allow more partnerships and offer more community benefits. To expand our services provided to the community, a new building is needed. In our existing space, we are maxed out and we cannot house or operate any additional activities. A 8,760 square foot facility will be build on the seven vacant lots owned by Njoy Njoy adjacent to our existing facility. Njoy Njoy has bought and fully paid for all the seven lots this new construction will be built on and the proposed cost is $2,058,000. Therefore, we are seeking funding to help in the construction of our new building.
