This project focuses on rapid certification and evaluation of advanced materials used in Additive Manufacturing. The intent is to leverage current and prior SBIR /STTR effort and developed mechanical and physical properties databases for aluminum and nickel alloys for use in maintenance and sustainment, light weight structures, hypersonic and propulsion applications.

Community Details

40. Community Need The community of need is the Additive Manufacturing ecosystem that exists in the greater Dayton area an includes not only local small businesses but also the Air Force Materials Command. Execution of the program will enable the use of high-performance materials for use in Additive Manufacturing that can address several key Air Force and DoD operational needs and results in capabilities that can be transferred to commercial application that will grow the ecosystem.
