PIQUA— Winans LLC, known as Winans Chocolates + Coffees, will expand its downtown Piqua footprint with the addition of a 6,000 square foot building next to its current production facility that will serve as a coffee roasting facility.

The project is expected to create 6 new jobs and represents a capital investment of more than $600,000. JobsOhio awarded the project a $100,000 JobsOhio Revitalization Grant.

World Leader in Food Packaging Opens R&D Center, Establishing U.S. Operations in Washington Court House

The Plastilene Group, a global leader in development and production of high-quality, responsible packaging, is launching a $47-million research and development center in Washington Court House. The new Sustainable Food Packaging Innovation Center, which is also the company's first U.S. operation, will create 58 new jobs and $3.8 million in new payroll.

DAYTON--Plastilene announced plans to establish a research and development center in Washington Court House to focus on the development of recyclable food packaging that will help food producers reduce their carbon footprint and environmental impact. 

“Plastilene’s business culture and philosophy is you invest for the long-term and seek to bring innovative solutions to your customers,” said Guillermo Umana, Plastilene’s General Manager. “We’re excited to work with leaders in our industry to help Ohio’s food producers deliver fresh products in a sustainable way.”
